LIBRARY PROGRAMS
Let's Tell a Story!

Let's Tell a Story is a residency where participants learn the art of storytelling. Each week the library's resources will be used to research a topic, write, improvise and learn storytelling techniques. The group will collectively choose from a selection of themes and create their own story as well as a collaborative group story. Each week stories will be shared and dramatized. The final session will be a presentation of the group's work. Those who do not wish to be on stage performers can help with costumes, props and sound effects. The focus will be on getting these young storytellers to find their voice and know how to use it!
Let's Do A Show!

Let's Do a Show is a residency in which participants create, write and perform a show. They will collectively choose from a selection of age appropriate themes. Working through improvisation, they will develop scenes, monologues, songs, rap and poetry. There will be a culminating performance during the last session. In the tradition of Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland, this program will help performers explore their talents!
OUR town library

This is a residency which culminates in a historical, theatrical celebration of the library. Participants create songs and scenes recreating the development of the library and its impact on the community.
LiBrARY ON PARADE

To enhance library outreach to the community, Elise choreographs a book cart drill for a yearly parade. Library staff strut their stuff for the town to cheer on! A great time is had by all!
